Our Focus
FOUNDERS
John Martinez O'Felan
The company's lead producer who, over the course of a decade developed Mankind's Alina of Cuba title, which recently wrapped principal photography. With a visionary eye and hands-on approach, Martinez O’Felan oversees story rights acquisition, studio and agency solicitation and is the creative voice of Mankind Entertainment. In addition to this, he manages the key relationships on each project and is responsible for media during development.
Earlier, Martinez O’Felan served as the operations manager in new business development at The Reyes Law Firm, a Texas-based entertainment, and asset recovery firm where he managed commercial litigation operations. While overseeing the firm’s business affairs, Martinez O’Felan went on to work in development for independent film for the firm where his duties included business-to-business, talent and studio solicitation, negotiation, and marketing.
Outside of his work in cinema, Martinez O’Felan, as a spiritualist, enjoys daily focus-meditation, and is an avid jogger and fitness fanatic.
Joseph S. Lamy
Joseph S. Lamy currently works and provides support in all aspects of finance and film production for Mankind Entertainment. Prior and concurrent with starting Mankind Entertainment, Joe has developed commercial real estate and is also advancing new water technologies through his involvement with Localized Water Solutions, Inc. Prior, he worked at Ingenio, Inc. in business development helping grow the company from 10 employees inside Benchmark Capital’s office to over 100 employees, profitability and a sale to AT&T.
Joe started his professional career working for BT Alex. Brown, an investment bank located in San Francisco focused on corporate finance for new media, ecommerce and technology companies. Companies included eBay, Nintendo, CBS, CNet, Zip2Media and others.
Joe graduated from Rice University with a BA in Economics where he also lettered for its SWC Championship football team.
